Your recovery, week by week
What to expect after surgery
Every body heals at its own pace. These are the services we combine along the way — your therapist confirms which ones apply at your stage during the initial consultation.
- 1Early stage
Swelling control
The critical window. We focus on moving retained fluid before it settles and on protecting your incisions.
- Manual lymphatic drainage
- Drain removal (NP)
- Seroma aspiration (NP)
- 2Fibrosis window
Fibrosis prevention
Hardened tissue forms in this stage if nothing is done. Consistent work here is what separates a good result from an average one.
- Advanced fibrosis therapy
- Scar tissue management
- Pressotherapy
- 3Remodeling
Tissue remodeling
Your body rebuilds. We support circulation and oxygenation so the tissue settles evenly.
- Extended post-surgical massage
- Infrared sauna blanket
- In-home sessions
- 4Definition
Definition & maintenance
The final shape appears. We refine contour and keep the result stable over time.
- Body contouring
- Skin tightening
- Wood therapy

Frequently Asked Questions About Post-Op Care
When should I start after surgery?
We recommend beginning within the first few days after surgery. Early treatment helps reduce swelling, prevent fibrosis and support faster healing. We assess your specific surgery and healing stage to determine the best starting point.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your procedure, your body and how you respond. Most patients follow a plan across the first eight to twelve weeks, with more frequent sessions early on and spacing out as you progress.
Does it hurt?
Lymphatic drainage is gentle by design — it works on the surface, not deep into muscle. Fibrosis work can be more intense, but we always adjust pressure to what your healing stage tolerates.
Do I need a referral from my surgeon?
Not required, but we always ask about your procedure and your surgeon's indications so your plan stays aligned with their instructions.
